Sphere 56

It’s a two-storey building that has been segregated into different spaces for several activities. As the user is being quarantined, he/she might feel suffocated and restrained after being in a confined space for a long period. Therefore, the different spaces within the pod aim to reduce the ‘ claustrophobic’ effect which is common in quarantine spaces. I designed a window facing the pond in the yoga studio, so the user can have a nice view while doing yoga. The design of the roof allows sunlight to shine through and creates a nice shadow for the interior. During normal peaceful times when there is no outbreak of the virus, this pod could be able to cater to the use by students on campus for any purpose.
